The Flow-Release Overshot is operated by setting down weight to engage the equipment. If the device cannot be recovered the Overshot can be released by setting down weight and increasing the coiltubingflow rate to activate the core piston and allow the Overshot to disengage from the fish. Incrementally sized grapples can be selected to suit the outside diameter of the fish.
